NAM for OSX?

If I only want the Network Addon (pathfinfing fixes etc, no extra content) do I simply copy the 1-5.dat files to the plugins folder?

There are several options on the installer.  The minimal one only loads the controller.  The default holds back on some things but in general installed the whole works.  If you choose custom install and uncheck everything you can, you should get a very minimal set up.

 

If you are on a MAC, deponent sayeth naught.  I am on Linux using wine.

I never touched any installer haha... The documentation told me to just copy those files

I don't think so, but you could run the Windows version under wine, then lift the files you need from the wine prefix.  You'd have to have the game installed under wine as well, and it has to be the windows version.  Playing with the Aspyr version must be getting a little long in the tooth my now.

The numbered .dat files no longer exist in the latest NAM; they never had anything to do with the traffic simulator.  If you just want the traffic simulator, pick one of the files that starts "NetworkAddonMod_Traffic_Plugin_Z_", and the corresponding Volume Data Views that begins "NetworkAddonMod_Volume_Data_View_Z_".
