CTD after update on 30 March?

Hi

I started up the game this morning, and had to download an update. I clicked on the Update link in the SimCity launcher, but saw that the latest update was still 1.8??

The update finished, I clicked the Restart button on the launcher, waited, and then launched the game.

But now I get a CTD every time I try and load on of my existing cities. I get to the city loading screen, and then CTD. This also happens when trying to start a new city - CTD on city loading screen.

Any ideas why this is happening? Unplayable, broken game at the moment....

EDIT: Where do I go to report this? Origin? EA? I can't seem to find the appropriate place...

You should try to uninstall and re-install the game first.

    Not really the point!

Why should I uninstall when some dodgy update (that I can find no information on), breaks my game and prevents me from loading any cities?

Try to repair instalation or delete all data inside  SimCity\SimCityUserData\ folder, then let launcher redownload it (i had similar problem - game was crashing every time i tried to open it and it helped me).

I would suspect that if this patch is the reason your game was giving you CTD's there would be a lot more people posting in this thread with the same problem.

That's not to say it isn't the cause, but I would look elsewhere. First, try the suggestions others have given you. Re-installing may help. If it doesn't help, try posting on the official forums or cantact EA support directly.
