Negative effects of prop packs.

Okay, let us just say for instance I got both CP MEGA prop packs, vol 1 and vol 2, and lets also say that I have his older stuff, the prop pack 1 and prop pack 2 and the 2009b(or is it a) and lets say I got them all in my plugins folder.  What kind of negative drawbacks would I expect to see?  Would this give me repeated crashes?  Or is it a slight change in how the game runs something more discreet?

I realize there is a cleanitol file included for a reason, but just what is the reason?  Why is it important for us to not have the old mixed in with the new?

With any luck, the duplicates, if any, will overlay the older editions.  If you want to ensure that, put a leading z_ on the ones you want to load last and override any others.  The penalty will be in loading.  You could use Rivit's Datanode program to audit your plugins.  It is probably too late for Cleanitol.

Good question.  I've wondered that myself, so I'll be waiting to hear the answer, too.

Well, a while ago I downloaded all the dependencies off the LEX and had them all installed.  I got the mattb325 residentials(all of them because they are incredibly realistic looking, the amount of residents is not but they DO look proper.  That is why I was using CP/cycledogg's stuff as an example because those are the dependencies required for for his residentials. I was getting a ton of crashing though.  I got fed up with all the crashing and redid my plugins folder, in doing so I noticed I had a lot of old packs due to the nature of my downloading. I noticed in rebuilding my folder that I had old versions of practically all of the dependencies(the most commonly used ones anyway), and in redoing my plugins folder have effective reduced them and removed them.

I am now experiencing less crashing, actually I have not had a crash yet since the redo.  I am adding in little by little all of the stuff I had back in and testing as I go.  I am just wondering, due to all the changes I have made to my plugins folder if those duplicates could have been a cause in anyway to my crashing, even if it was just a contributor?

Well, I don't get that kind of crash.  I always load only the stuff I need when I need it.  If I have a crash, it is usually my fault.
