Building Orientation issue

A lof of the time, when I place a building, the computer wants to orient the building so that the snap-points (where expansion modules would go) are against the road (where there is no room to build the extra modules) instead of sitting in the empty space where they would be if the building faced the other way. Is there a way to manually control which way a building will face when I place it, short of moving the roads?

Unfortunately no. There is no way to manually rotate a building in this version of Simcity unlike in the previous version. I asked about it during beta and it seems that the reason is because there appears to be only one entrance/exit for building and thus that's why ithe entrance needs to be oriented always to a road.

As far as I have noticed you can only pick the orientation of the building if you place it on a corner. There you can pick to place it horizontally or vertically depending on which street you want it to have the entrance. But if you place it exactly on the corner some buildings lose the place for the mods then. It's quite a bad system. 

 

I would love it if the building grid showed all the places mods can go, not just the starting mods, and sometimes not even those are shown.
