Time (cheetah) issues when editting e.g. trade port

Maybe a stupid question (and yes, I am new here but the search didn't bring me much) but have anyone seeing the following problem: when editting a .e.g trade port (I also saw it happening with an oil rig or casino), the time simply stops when I am out of the edit mode i.e. it remains being 3:45 AM and that's the time where I entered into the edit mode. Even running back into turtle mode and then back again didn't help. The only thing that did help is to quit the game and restart it.... needless to say that it's a big pain! 

 

And oh, before you start asking: yes, it remains dark when the time stops... the first time I noticed it, I had been looking for almost 1 hour and was wondering why the birthday cake no money was brought in LOL...

 

So please MTV, pimp my ride... oh no, that's something else... so please anybody, help this Mayor out!
