I don't even have the game and it is winding me up! - I reckon i need to stop watching gameplay and reading articles and news.

I am trying to give EA grace period to sort the game out and their attitude before forking over my £££

I am preparing for that to, well fail and am not willing to gamble with my pennies hoping that they fix it in time.

So in regards to that, what can I play instead to fill my fix?

SC3000? SC4? Cities XL?

Are those my only 3 options?

lol, love English slang!

Play SC4.  Though I haven't played that in a while because after x amount of mod installs and the NAM and a city size so big, the game would just crash...

I have to admit that while I was playing SC4 over the past few days, I had a rather smug feeling knowing that I was playing a game that to me is superior to what is on offer from SC2013. The same feeling came to me knowing I wasn't sitting around for hours on end waiting for some server to let me play while terraforming a huge region filled with volcanoes, rivers, mountains and plains followed by starting a city in it.

I don't feel anger about the failure of this new game, I am laughing at EA because they didn't get their grubby mits on my money by peddling a piece of rentware crap.

It's definitely a PR nightmare.  Though I'll admit the game isn't all that horrible, despite the glaring shortcomings. It's still the "crack" that Sim City has always been.

You will still literally spend hours and hours building and trying to work things out.

They did a nice job making it look good, though the textures do leave something to be desired.  Fortunately, that can be lessened by applying one of the filters they give for visuals,  then it doesn't look so childish.

Not gonna suggest spending your money on it as that's your choice.  But I certainly do NOT regret getting it.  I'm hoping it gets better though.  There are some fundamental things that need to change right off the bat otherwise we did kinda get duped into buying an inferior product (compared to SC4)

Takes me back to being a kid, playing Sim City on the SNES and it encouraging me to dig out a pen and paper and paper my walls with A4 sheets encorporating my 2D City.

Makes no sense why i enjoyed it then, nowadays that type of creativity is stifiled by iPad/iPhone and everything is 3D but it was fun when i did it
