Someone please help. How do i exit the blue grid view?

Im sure im just being thick, but ive bought it tonight, and the whole world is a blue grid. No matter what i build, anywhere where there is nothing built, is a blue grid. Im running a new acer aspire E1 571 with Intel HD 3000 graphics card, which is fully updated on windows 8

How do i get out of this stupid view, so i can see the actual landscape of my city?

It's a glitch AFAIK. I think they are working on a patch. You should post in the EA support forum with your details.

You could try alt tabbing out and back in, not sure if that will do it. You could also try updating your graphic drivers, or even rolling back to another older version, or installing a new graphics card.
