Laying Roads is terrible, so is zoning

It seems there are many annoyances with this game. Road are brutal at times, and simple won't connect or go where you want to. THen there is the zoning, trying to 20 minutes to add a dept of transportation to my town hall, I can't either says overlapping, or must be on a snap point. I've demolished anything around the area but still cannot lay it down. Whose idea was it to make zoning  Simple tasks like this should not be such a pain to do, this game needed months more development time.

I also had a similar problem adding a dept. of tourism onto the side of the building (already had a dept of education on the back).  I just dozed things until I could make a snap point work, which resulted in an odd configuration.

Yes this can be frustrating.

You've got to pay attention when placing the first building. You'll see yellow squares that represent the snap points. If any of these turn red those are snap points you can't use in the future

And since most plopables are enormous, and when you get some the city is so mature you have to destroy about 2 city blocks for them.

Sigh, game has so much potential but it really is too limiting with no space to work with, wish OI waited to buy this game when it was cheap.

I agree with you 100%. I'm still trying to figure out my optimum road placement - but most of the time I have wasted space in the middle waiting for some future building I couldput there. I swear a ful university takes 20% of the map :P
