Lets talk game issues, not DRM, what can be improved?

I am already sick of all the DRM talk, we know what those issues are, lets get into the game, I noticed many things that need work, lets hope some patches can fix.

1: Tile size, not going to elaborate it's self explanatory, needs to be addresses, really limiting and unrealistic for a city builder in 2013. This alone is a major issue with the game, it's simply way too limiting.

2: Lack of region control: Regions are pre-built and each town has only access road, how is that realistic? We should be able to plan our own traffic options between cities, this causes traffic issues as well.

3: LAck of information - I put bus stops down, no where is there anywhere I can see detailed options on how they helped traffic, or information in general, this is an issue with multiple areas in the game. (Maybe i'm missing something?)

4: I don't want or need to talk to every sim.... This IMO is causing a lot of the issues in the game it is a major waste of resources and simply not what simcity is about. maybe have some key sims you can talk to in each neighbourhood, anything else is wasting time and resources that should have gone to city building options, this is a city builder not the sims right?

5: Trading - Maybe i'm dumb but trading on the global market is not really explained in the game nor does it seem to work all the time right now, game says I should get 5000 a month from exporting coal, never shows up in my treasury, at least not always.

6: Abandoning cities - Why can't I if I am playing a private region, not start over an abandoned city? This is stupid, if I want to start over a cvity I messed up when I was still learning the game I should be able to. What happens when I use up all regions? GAme over?

7: Cross server saves? Saving to the cloud is unnecessary as it is, but with the online issues, they said to try another server, sure I would, but when I do my region and save files are not there, hours of play time gone.

There is more I am sure, that's all I can think of for now.

- The water table

- The actual physical roads (whatever density) are too big, size wise.  This meas that they end up wasting space.

Actually, this is something that can be addressed for other items too.  It seems like all the items are a bit "bloated" making it hard to really pack stuff in tightly.  Too much of the parts of buildings or land plots stick out further than they should so it causes "overlap" issues.

- Roads are difficult to build.  Its like you drag a road and it doesn't work.. But if you take the same path from the opposite direction, then it does.

The mechanics, and footprint, needs and overhaul.

- Farms must be integrated

- Protesting at city hall

- Police/Fire/Medical efficiency.  You shouldn't have to sit and wait as your city burns to the ground or gets overrun with crime or sickness

- Single city entrance from region?  I guess that is solved mainly by getting rid of this fundamental flaw to begin with... but  there should be more access.  Also, why is it that some cities have trains and others don't?  I don't think it's right to make it so if you pick a city in the region, there's a chance you can't have rail.  Same goes for boats I suppose too.

- Local game/save files.  Yes, that's DRM... but seriously, one of the videos I just watched made a staggering point.  What if, sometime in the future, EA decide that they no longer want to support SC2013 or they release SC2013:2?  That means they'll turn the servers off for this game and no one will be able to play it.  "lol, you have to buy the new one now lol."  Um, hey wait a minute, I don't want the new one (necessarily).  I quite enjoy this one. Single player and local files is an absolute must, let alone for all the other reasons we've already witnessed.

I am glad you mentioned the roads, they are such a pain to lay down and don't work half the time, forgot about that issue. Zoning in general is not well done in the game either.  The water issue is also a pain.

-I had a city who's entire west border was a road width of beach. Yet I couldn't place a dock because I didn't own enough water. I think the dock should be able to extend past your boarders. (guess this will be fixed by bigger plots).

-I also think that a pre panning tool would be great. Say I know I want a recycling plant in the feature. Yet I obiously can't afford one. Or I want to lay out roads I can't afford yet. It would be nice to have a planing button where you place ghost outlines so you can save space. :)

Well, I posted it because in this game, you can't possibly do this.  I'm using this first picture because it was taken using tilt-shift, so is really relevant to this version of SC.

    And then:

I was totally excited about the curved roads aspect and being able to make these types of towns.  But due to the footprint of the road and the overall size limit of the map, I don't  think it's plausible.

I will try it more this weekend (if I can log in)... but it seems that if you do too much of this, your city won't be profitable.  That seems off.
