Possible to bypass video card system messages?

made this post for anyone having issues as far with graphics (shadows, roads, etc.) you can change alot of a vaules of the game in this notepad section this file can be found \SimCity\SimCityRecovery\Config\ConfigManager

 

also for people getting those nasty errors saying your video card is not met requirements... lies..

 

from here you can change error messages, resolutions.. being the fact EA cannot help me install the game on my laptop i've been toying with some of these settings and have had success!! i've managed to get an Simcity window open but for it to only be a black screen and cusor, i want to get this game running before the weekend.. If someone who knows how to real codecs very well could help me out, it's possible to trick the game itself to read a vendor id of another video grahpics card to let the game intially run im just trying to figure out what to adjust..

I can understand most of that (I think anyone can) I don't think it would help to adjust the code there.

You would have to trick the game that you have another vendor id/hardware id.

 

The only way I know how to is to use a very old software called "3d analyzer".

go to \SimCity\SimCityData\Config and make a copy of ConfigManager.txt in case of something.

open it with text editor, ctrl+f and search for 2001

I tried this workaround, but I'm still getting the error. I have a brand new Lenovo Flex 5, and I'm trying to open SimCity with my Origin account. Any new ideas?
