No Snap Points and No Dashes.

I felt there was something different about my SimCity, I finally figured it out. Whenever I place a building my game doesn't show snap points (The blue things). And the game doesn't show the city boundary in dashes (Yes it is ticked), it doesn't show my road guides either.

I installed it from a disk, could be a problem with disks? Or is it possible that this is some weird server problem?

Did you go through some of your gameplay settings to see if there were any options to turn them on and off?

I did I kept going back and forth.

Also when I place Parks I don't see the radius, and when I plop it I don't see the happy faces.

In the bulldozed tool when I hover over items, it doesn't show me the yellow color to show what I'm bulldozing. Also since Smiley faces don't appear the yellow abandoned house face doesn't come either. S. I have to manually find abandoned houses.

I typed this on the phone ignore random autocorrects.

I was having the same problem, I couldn't see any of the colored graphics on any of the data layers either.

If you are running an ATI video card open up your Catalyst Control center and go into the 3D applications tab in the gaming menu and set everything back to default.  That took care of the problems for me, and panning and moving around the game tile seems to be a lot smoother too.

Yes, I am running ATI (I have an A8 APU). I'll try settings everything to default.

Thanks it worked. :D The game also runs way more smoothly.

I'm starting to think that the max requirments to run the game is over exageratted.

I LOVE MESSAGE BOARDS! Thanks guys for the help. I had the exact problem and thanks to you I love Sim City again

I had no ocean/water, no grids no emotion faces or green circles when I place a park or bus stop down. Now I do, thanks! AWESOME!

The lighting to min seems to have helped me to get water and display roads when I'm drawing them. Still no snap points or happy/sad faces or building addition boxes when placing buildings. Just bought the game only to realize it doesn't work well on my new computer. Hopefully they fix the issue with ATI graphics cards.
