Land Pollution?

any idea how long does it take for land pollution to gradually go away? or do they ever?

 

just got my first sewage treatment plant after using 03x pumps for quite a long while and the ugly black patch on the ground is an eyesore.

You can plant trees or place parks around the sewage outflow pipe, it will help clean up the ground pollution.

Do trees add land value for buildings like they did in SC4 as well? I never noticed the houses get a smiley face when i plant trees like they did if i put a park down.

Trees do not increase land value or happiness, but parks do.
