All I see is a black grid

So I just purchased Simcity an hour or two ago. I started playing it but noticed that I can't see any of the landscaping. No grass, trees, water, etc... I can see buildings and the roads that are laid out but everything else looks like a black grid (kind of like the sides of the map in Simcity 4).. Any help or suggestions?

What graphics card are you using? Are the latest graphic card drivers installed?

I'm having the same problem. Checked that my drivers are up to date, but still no terrain.

Yes, I am having the same problem. Hopefully it's not my gaphics card. All I know for now is it's a GeForce. If it is, then I'm moving to another laptop.

Same here. AMD 6970 with latest drivers (tried both stable and beta drivers).  I had no trouble during the SimCity beta.

I've tried to reinstall, does nothing.  There's no repair tool, my drivers are up to date.  I would like to know I didn't waste $65.
