Just out of interest how big was the Simcity download? Seeing that people downloading the game in 3mins gives me hope for my metered connection!

Im not sure about size...but I do have 50Mbps down, so it might take u a little longer

I am doing the same thing. He is taking his sweet timecanceling my order though.  Funny thing is,on origin's main page,  you can buy the game and download it now, no pre order needed

I canceled mine thru the live chat.  Then ordered it thru AMAZON and had it immediately. the download was quick but the update is taking a fewmins

This hurts wayy more than D3...I think ppl KNEW D3 wasgonna be shitty server for the first day atleast..that game was HIGHLY anticipated.

 

What makes this worse is half of us can't even download our damn game..I figured i'd pre-order as I thought the store would crash at 12am but smh...

I feel everyone frustration it so annoying, EA should of realized that SimCity is big name franchise and allowed pre download, I couldn't download till about 12:45AM, EA needs to realize we in 2013 not 90's anymore.

 

One piece of good news is doesn't take long to download took me about 30 minute at 16mbps.

It finally showed up for me as available 3 hours 55 minutes after the release time. I had pre-ordered the limited edition several weeks ago.

Well finally got it. Looks like EA made it just in time, was about 100 minutes left until I got int touch with customer service and I was going to cancel then.

 

Lesson learned, first time pre-ordering through Origin and last time. Why do it when you can just download it right away from the site.
