Resetting City Tiles

Can you reset the city tiles to their original state?  I realize this may be a bit of an odd question to ask, but since I can't seem to find the answer and haven't seen it in any of the videos or read it in any of information I figured I would ask. 

 

With the direction EA/Maxis is taking the game in I'm curious as to whether or not they will allow it, at least at will.  With limited commodities (ore, oil, coal, etc…) and the game trying to push you in the direction of having multiple cities, it at least somewhat leads me to believe that once you start a city it's there "forever."  The reason why I say "forever" is because of the EA business model in that they may charge a fee to reset the city and/or it could be the developer's intention to add realism to the game, where even if you mine out a city completely or mess it up you're stuck with it.

I cant see there being a "reset city" button but I can probably see there being a "delete region" button as we can only save 10 regions. What would we do once filling them all? 

 

Edit: Just found out that they have multiple servers such as North America, Europe etc and you can have 10 regions on each server so at the maximum on each server you can create 160 cities so if you ruin a region theres plenty of other regions to develop.

You can't reset a city tile within a region, but you can reset an entire region. If your region was just completely ruined by your mistakes in one of the cities, if you own the region, you can delete it start a new region in the save slot.
