If I use the set home jobs to 100% will that eliminate the abandonment of plopped residentials? I have over half a million jobs in my city but ZERO people because all my residentials have been plopped.

Of course I'm going to test this out the next time I fire up the game but in the meantime my curiosity is becoming a burden. Can anyone provide some insight on this? Thanks.

Don't know if I can be of any help, but from what I have read in the forums, there is a kind of glitch in designing a ploppable residential. The trick is suppossed to be in zoning the correct sized area with a parcel, hold ctrl whil you drag the zone out. That will force a building of the same size to grow, then once a building is built, plop the residential ploppable building on top of the grown building and it should function. But I haven't tried it yet, so I hope it works for you

    Luck!!!

I just wanna say that, i'm not gonna give a blind suggestion and explanation in this case. The best way to answer your curiosity is to make an experiment. Not everyone here is using that mod and experienced the very same effect. Some said that's a good mod but some other said otherwise so, you gotta make your own move to find out. Just remember to back up your region before making an experiment, so that you can always get back when something goes wrong.

Also, plopping residential is not good in most technical way, some said it can be done by using the DLL cheat but, you better start to zone it normally my friend.

The odds are against you.  The game militates against plopped R.  Enjoy your experiment.
