The Feldham Times is a newspaper serving the city of Feldham, MR (Mariana, the fictional state Feldham is in). It was founded sometime in the late 1800's, the exact date is not known due to a fire that destroyed the pre-1900 archvies of the paper. It is employee-owned under the name Feldham Newspapers, LLC. The paper's headquarters is located in downtown Feldham off 3rd Street. It stopped publishing for two years because of the paper's headquarters being destroyed in 1900.

The City of Feldham is a city in Brook County, Mariana. It's mayor is Suzaku (Republican). The population of the town as of 2010 is 16,500. Once a large industrious city, the city has turned to mostly technology and medical industries. Feldham enjoys a large economic boom due to Brook Medical Supplies being based in Feldham, and Google, Inc. having a server farm somewhere near the city.

    Proposed Wal-Mart Site Stirring Controversy

    Written January 25, 2013

FELDHAM - Wal-Mart is coming to Feldham! Well, maybe not.

Wal-Mart Corp. has purchased land at the intersection of Highway 17 and 2nd Avenue. However, a group by the name of "Feldham Citizens Against Wal-Mart" has protested the move. "This will drive the local economy to nothing!" says Alex Johnson, the group head. The group has gone to even blocking bulldozers and construction equipment from entering the lot. "Not only that, it's next to residential houses, leading to more crime." added Johnson.

Feldham City Council is set to hear the group's case next Tuesday. Mayor Suzaku was quoted saying this about the controversy: "I don't think it would completely ruin our local economy. I understand what they are saying but we'll let City Council solve this mess.".

Google Funds Fiber Optic Connection for Feldham

    Written January 26, 2013

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA and FELDHAM, MR - Google Inc. announced today that they would be providing the City of Feldham, in the state of Mariana, US$645 million to build a high-capacity fiber optic line through Feldham. Aimed at providing the city with high-speed internet access, the City has decided to operate a cable TV and Internet company using this fiber called Feldham Power Cable, or FPC. It will be a subsidiary of the city-owned Feldham Power. The funding comes after Google finished construction on a private server farm outside of the city. Previously, Feldham residents would have to get internet through MarianaTel, which has many complaints with the BBB, earning them a "C-" rating.

Here is a picture of the first service areas for FPC:

The inital service plan will consist of 25Mbps download and 5Mbps upload internet, and Deluxe (120+ channel) digital cable for $98 a month. It is set to begin taking orders for service in February 2013.
