Can't get the City Zoo

Geckoburg wants the City Zoo to house its geckos, anoles, iguanas, monitors, and other such beasts. The requirements to get the City Zoo are:

80,000 Sims--I have 99,600

25 parks--I lost count of the number of parks, but it's more like 50 than 25

Mayor rating 68--current mayor rating 72

However, at the time Geckoburg reached 80,000 Sims, the mayor rating was only at 66-67. Now that it's reached 72 (thanks to building the major league stadium) one would think the zoo would appear in the menu. I've been checking the menu regularly, and it hasn't shown up. In the past, with other cities, I got the City Zoo when the population reached 80,000, but the mayor rating was a bit higher. I would prefer to get the City Zoo without cheating. Should I wait, or should I resign myself to not getting Geckoburg its zoo? We can't have those iguanas running wild in the streets.

Well, you can always build more recreation areas, landmarks, and zones. Or you can do it the easy way and type 'ctrl' + 'x' and enter the code: "you don't deserve it" without spaces, of course!

That sometimes happen even when you reach the requirements. It happened to my cities too. Just wait a litle bit. You'll got the zoo eventually.

Not to sound nit-picky, but you are supposed to include the spaces when typing "you don't deserve it". It's 4 separate words.

Well, I turned off the computer to run errands, and when I got back to the game there was the zoo! which I promptly built. All I had to do was wait. Cefien, the geckos of Geckoburg salute you.

No problem. There are some codes which don't require the spaces...such as "howdryiam" or "fightthepower", as well as others...and I wanted to clarify that "you don't deserve it" is actually different so that the OP isn't confused.

If you have the extra cheats dll you don't need to worry about the command word syntax. Just right click in the dialogue box. You do have to know the syntax of commands that take arguments.
