SimMars project does contain similar concepts, but it is a Mars MOD. Check it's forum for more information.

 

I absolutely agree with you here, though.

 

The one single, most easiest, game mod, that would require very minimal data changes, would be a science fiction or future Earth Scenario.

THis would keep the games balances intact, while allowing the gamer to experience I new beautiful city type!

This is the type project I see being done quickly and most buildings may already be made. The SimMars ones. They are hating me now, I'll bet.

 

SimMars may have went alot faster if they had stuck to our planet, in my very well thought out opinion. Also, the MOD would have as more descriptive title: Game Skin. Futura Skinning, Sci-Fi Skinning, etc.
