Sim City isn't loading

I realize I just posted about this, but with a lot of missing criteria, I'm new to Sim City and to this forum

Here's a more detailed post about my issue

I've installed, Uninstalled, and Re-installed SimCity 4, but every time I attempt to run the game, it loads up to the icon with the bridge, and about 5 seconds later, crashes

I purchased 'The SimCity Box" which includes SimCity Deluxed with the Rush Hour expansion included in the installation discs. along with a seperate disc for Soceieties, and Soceieties Destination expansion packs

I've already used the discs on another computer, I don't know if this could interfere with anything

I've gotten a new computer and wish to play SC4 with better graphic options that are now available to me.

I haven't installed any mods, or plug-ins or anything of that sort.

My machines specs. are as followed

Operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Processor Type: Intel Core @3.40GHz

RAM: 8192MB

Page file: 13906MB available

Chip Type is: ATI display adapter (0x675D) with Approx. 730MB available memory

Well, that's more useful information. Now since you installed from disk, did you get the updates for versions 1,1,638,0 (bug fix) and 1,1,640,0 BAT nightlights fix. If not, you can get them from SC4Devotion by choosing the EA support button, accepting the agreement, and proceeding to the necessary pages. If you need these, be sure you get the ones that are for your game's locale. Read carefully.

Also, run dxdiag and make sure your multimedia is working. And download DirectX 9.0c which is what the game needs. It can co-exist with the current version.
