I have lots of C demand, but not much actually growing. I used to suffer with residential only growing out not up. I think I now understand how to get taller R, what do i need to get tall C?

I have lots of plazas, a couple of landmarks, demand but no growth.

Do i have to buldoze the existing C buildings for a new one to grow in its place? Residential will bulldoze and rebuild its self, is C the same?

To get tall C buildings you need demand for C$$$, a supply of R$$$ (not many), and good environment. You also need around 50,000 Sims or more, well educated.

Well, it's not that commercial growth is broken in the game. It works perfectly if you do it right. If you have suitable population and large demand, but still nothing grows, you are probably doing something wrong. Downloading stuff that boosts demand (which you have anyway) won't do any good in such a case.

A screenshot of the affected city would be helpful.

One thing that really messes up growth is plopping commercial buildings. You then get to wait until the system settles down from the shock.

Nonny moose is right,if you plop you flop,it"s a mess ploping C zone buildings, try too add some more C$$$ too the map.but yes C buildings will rebuild on there own,and the comerical population has to be,about 25,000-30,000 jobs, and sim population has to be between 25,000-50,000,ive had sky scrapers,at 15,000 people and sometimes some cities won't grow up untill 30,000 or even 50,000 it depends on how surrounding cities are going and your own city.remeber you have too have education level at 120 or higher too. hope this help!
