Aureliano. Flareflakes Rush.

Intro

Flareflakes - a mineral, commonly used
to produce all kinds of fuel. - SimCyclopedia

dyou9l.jpg

 - ...Hey, mom, look. I've found that behind our field. Looks beautiful, eh?
   Don't you know what's this? It's kinda stone or something...
 - Oh, yes it looks like a stone. What a beautiful colour! Let's ask your granpa.
 - Granpa! Can you tell us what is this? What's the name of that stone?
 - Let's see... Oh, my Lord!!! Where did you get this, kid?!!!
 - I found that behind our field... There's a lots of them!
 - Remember, my son, it is a flareflake... We gonna be ritch!
   I should go to Criquette City...

Few months later...

dyp1c6.jpg

- Okay now! The subject of this meeting is... Our own flareflakes mining!
  Few months ago, we've got the information that on the Borringue Lake, a little boy has found a flareflake at his backyard.
  I've send our people to check it... after some exploration, we've found a hugest... oh... a hugest flareflake deposite...
  So! We must start work on the mining as soon as it possible.
  At this time, nobody knows about it. No one from our rivals knows about Borringue flareflakes...
  So we must be the first. And this is our chance...
  Now, here's the deal -

dypsgj.jpg

- we must construct a branch line till the fishing village, where the flareflake field is situated.
  While this will  be in progress, we also must costruct our mining facility
  to be able to take out our flareflakes as soon as it possible...
  So... this is our moment, gentlemen... It is our future!..

Hi every one 2.gif
This is my first CJ Aureliano. Flareflakes Rush.

So, the idea of the CJ is not very original. Actually, i think it's not original at all.
I'll try to tell the story about a mining camp that finnaly becomes a large and beautiful city.
My storytelling skills are too poor, but i'll try to make it as intresting as i can5.gif

Behind the storyline i'll tell you about region stats, mods i use, and all the gameplay things, that would be intresting to tell about.
So, stay tuned to the first update!

Cheers! 9.gif

Actually I think it's quite original. An intriguing little story to start off, a couple very nice pictures, and a good map to get us acquainted. Bonne chance with the region!

    Woohoo! 39.gif Thanks every onem guys! So great to se your comments after very first post! 48.gif

    To Oroen: Thanks, man! I'm glad that you find the story beginning quite original 48.gif

    To Aleking: Thank you! Yes, i hope that it will turn out really well with this CJ 21.gif

    To Katie2007: Oh, thankyou 9.gif Actually, the pic is just mirrored in PS to make it look a bit more intresting.

    To Nardo69: Oh, thanks! Well, i hope that this one will not become a ghost town... or maye it's a good way to finish the story! 18.gif I'll keep it in mind 2.gif But it will take time, i hope 21.gif

    And yes. I have a pic of the part of the region. I've just finished main terraforming yesterday, so there is a lot of work to plant all the trees over the whole region.
    So here is about 1/6 of the region - the flareflakes mine area:

    dz7ytk.jpg

    I'm planning an update with info about the region when its creating will be finished. So stay tuned 5.gif

    To Pipishere and Kwakelaar: Thank you, guys!

    Hello Criquette!

    I have to say, this pic is one of the best here on ST. One of my favorite for sure!

    align=baseline>

    I don't know if is a question of modding but very realistic. Flaregas Office, nice building, did you download it here on STEX? I don't think is an in-game one.
    About mods, you said you're gonna tell all the ones you're using. Can't wait for that because I really want to know how you get those arrowed intersections...awsome!

    Great great start!
    See you next uptade.

    Thank you for your words, guys!

    To Pichman: Thanks man! Oh, no, not at all! This is an ingame CO$$ building Kanarowski & Co - so I just made the lot for the story to tell 5.gif
    And yes, those arrowed avenue intersection is an optional part of the NAM right now - ATL Mod - Just look through the Modding- Transit Networks forum section 1.gif

    To Palmgurl: Thank you, but i'm not sure about downloading - it's a custom map i've made for the CJ, so i wasn't thinking about release it. Or may be.. who knows! 9.gif

    To Chocolatemax285: Thanks! As i've said, the building on the pic is an ingame, so you can find it in the LE by searching Kanarowski & Co 2.gif

    To Pipishere: Thank you!

    To Decola: Thankie! I've made it using Region Census - really useful program 19.gif

    To Aleking: Oh, thanks, man! Yeah, a bit surreal, and the legend about the area is even more surrealistic. I'm preparing an update about the region itself, hope to upload it soon!

    Borringue Lake.

    Long time ago, there was a sea:

    align=baseline>

    Nobody knows why, but the sea begins to dry.
    And finnaly, turns into lake.

    align=baseline>
    Borringue lake - that's how people call it.
    Years passing by, trees start growing on the dryed sea bottom...
    Today, there are beautiful forrests all over the place

    align=baseline>

    Don't know why people call this place that way.
    This lake... there is nothing about boring for me!

    Looks at this fast river that runs down to the lake

    align=baseline>

    align=baseline>

    Or those strange mysterious cliffs...

    align=baseline>

    Every spring, a beautiful stream runs down to the lake from the top of the tableland.
    Come here next spring and you will see it

    align=baseline>

    And those strange gutters... Did you saw something like that? Is is a mineral or something?
    Every spring when the snow starts to melt and the water washes out those trange grey things from underground...

    align=baseline>

    ...and moves it down to the lake

    align=baseline>

    I could live here!..

    * * *

    I
     hope you like the regional shots! 5.gif Finnaly i've finished working on all these trees, whew! 21.gif I guess i know why people call this plase like that! 18.gif

    Any way, let me tell you about this region.
    Here some stats:

    The region size is 10x12 large city squares, so there is 120 large city squares; 13 of these are fully covered by the water and about 25 city squares covered by the forrest

    Mods I use at this moment:

    THL Reconcilation Mod;
    THL Terrain Mod - Grassland;
    Ocean River Mod;
    Grass beach mod;
    God Mode Trees mod;
    Jeroni Plopable water;
    Goldiva Tropical Set;
    PEG Rock Mod - Gold Sandstone;
    Timotheus Custom water;

    There is also another mods i will use in the city building:

    Network Addon Mod;
    No Dilapidation mod;
    Diagonal streets mod;
    Additional Dirty Streets mod;
    Bridgeheight mod;
    Euro road textures mod;
    No fires mod;
    Radical Ordinace mod;

    And may be also few more that i forgot 9.gif

    Um-m.. what else.. I guess that's all for today!18.gif

    holy cow, criquette, that terraforming is remarkable - giving me a lot of inspiration and some ideas. i am assuming from the looks of it you did this by hand, which is very impressive. that is a startling, beautiful region.
    oh yes, and you have a very good story here as well.
    keep up the great work.

    Woah! Thanks for the comments, my friends! 48.gif

    To Aleking: Thanks man! But don't say that! Actually your region is a great inspiration for me 29.gif

    To Simen, Pipishere, Nardo and Kwakelaar: Thank you, guys!48.gif

    To Thunderman: Wohoo 39.gif My first subscriber! Thanks a lot! 9.gif

    Elle_driver: Thankie! 36.gif

    To MrCinatit: Oh, it's a honour to see you here! But may be i'll disappoint you by saying that the mayor terraforming was done by ingame renderer, i've just created a map by myself.. 34.gif
    Only all these trees and stuff was added by hand and that took really long 21.gif
    Thank you! And i'm really glad that this region can be an inspiration for such a great City Journalist! 29.gif

    To All: So great guys, that you find the story kinda intresting! I hope to post next update as soon as it possible. It will be about the railway construction and beginning of the flareflakes mining in the region, so stay tuned!
    See ya 9.gif

    Well done, Criquette! Incredibly beautiful region shots! Must've taken you ages to create that! Did you hand terraform it or did you render it in-game? Either way, it's absolutely amazing! As for that shot in your first update with all the different offices, I would love to know how you did that.. I've seen it before in other city journals, but so far all of my own efforts have been in vain..
    Perhaps a tutorial? 37.gif

    Anyway, great job, great start and keep it up! 44.gif
