    Welcome to Tapilco's story.

You are in 2014. Mexican government finds, while archaeologists look for mayan treasures, the perfect location for a new city. Tapilco, in honor to an important Mayan elder, is founded in 2014. The city was supposed to be the paradise. It was.

What you see above is the official location of Tapilco, as seen on Google Earth.

In 2043, Tapilco was already adult. No more little houses. The mexican government was considering making it the capital. In 2016, the population was still around 15,000. In 2043, it was around 140,000 people.

According to a recent study (2044), Tapilco is still growing at a fast rate. Urbanists ask the mexicans to wait. The city that will put Mexico in the global economic scenery is coming out soon. Economists say that "you should move to Tapilco" if you want to take advantage of the future of the growing city. It's a nice investment.

It's also been discussed how the city solved the problem of the traffic, that is so common in big cities. It's not a mistery. The image below shows a hint for major cities in the future.

Tapilco's government saw that the city was built on a flat ground, without any tall mountains. So it was possible to build organized cities to have an organized traffic. That would avoid enormous traffic jams. Still, not even with more than 50 bus stations and about 20 subway stations, the citizens preferred their cars. Go figure.

    ----------

    Okay. For now I'm done.

The city has currently more than 150,000 inhabitants. Soon I'll be back with more images and news.
