Hi, I have a little issue qith one building and I'd need some help.

I have a building that when it grows sound like when you plop a landmark, I wanna remove it but I have a little problem: who made it as name put nothing, just blank spaces, so I can't find what building is to remove... any sugestions? (and no, I can but I have thousens of new buildings to look at and it'd be quite impossible).

I can say that is a commerse, $$$ type (I dunno if CS o CO), 171 jobs and sizes of 2x3 and 3x3 as far as I know. Is from one of the STEX CD's.

Thanks for the help.

What you are experiencing is poor modding on the part of the creator/uploader. More than likely, it is a lot that was created long ago, before more was known about exactly how the game files and their properties work within the simulator. There's a thread here at Simtropolis about the issue, but it is out of date: some of the internal links do not work, and the most improtant information (regarding how to fix the problem) seems to have been omitted during one of the many overhauls of the site. The most current and complete information can be found in this thread at SC4Devotion: Growing Empty Lots and How to Correct Them.

If I'm not mistaken, you can find the name of the un-plopped "landmark" in your budget. The quick fix, then, is to remember that name, bulldoze the empty lot, and delete that item from your plugins folder. If it's something you really want or need, you'll have to take the steps outlined in RippleJet's thread to correct the lot.

Thanks a lot for the info, without the name but with the building jobs i think I already found and delete it.

PS: Silur, the problem is that the label is in blank, no name showed, so no extra info.

Sure - You must know about this object and about master ...

May be it from official MAXIS site, may be from STEX - who knows ?

You can open this with Lot Editor, Ilive Reader or SC4 Tool ....

Sure - You can see all problems with this ...

And for me - never work with any objects in my life ( except NAM and some critical MODs ) ...

Simple work with Models only ...... with SC Plugin Man, Ilive Reader, SC4 Tool and Lot Editor ...

I think You can solve Your problem !!!

I know, I know... the point was reduce somehow the number of buildings to look at, because I had all new plugins and I should find it in more than 2000 files. With the Growing Empty Lots and How to Correct Them I reduced and I found&deleted the file.
