Border problems - Anyone know what could cause this?

So I am having this problem with the border on SC4. I am running Rushhour on an HP laptop at 1024x768 resolution. It only occurs when I close my laptop and it goes to sleep. When I open my laptop and sign into my windows 7 account, SC4's pause border will sometimes gets screwed up. It doesn't do it all the time however so I am trying to pinpoint what causes it. I feel like it has something to do with me clicking something before the game wakes back up or something...not sure

Anyways, anyone experienced this and been able to pinpoint what causes it?

NOTICE: the pause border is off from the actual screen. It is off by that much when I try and click icons as well. I tried to take an ingame screen shot but realized it wouldnt work because it would only take what the pause border was.

I know how problems like that feel. Unfortunately, I do not know the solution BUT here is something to at least try: scan your system for bugs. If not, try to look it up (my simcity crashes all the time and I found the answer online). But at least try these. Otherwise, I do not know what to do. :|

go to gfx settings and turn off hardware mode and reactivate software mode intergrated(most laptops have them) graphics tend to do this ALL THE TIME
