HELP! Railways

    Hi

    I am new to this site so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong place.

    I am having trouble with my railways. I have been playing the game for about 3 months properly, had it for ages but only just got into it after getting bored with the SIms3.

    When I first downloaded the game the railways were working fine. Placed one in a residential zone, linked it to Industry and other cities and I had trains running on the rail.

    Game then crashed out and I had to re-download, now none of the railways work in the old cities or new ones and I have searched everywhere for some help. Is there a bug in the game or a patch that I can download to make it work?

    I have tried everything, removing roads to other areas to see if I can get the sims onto train etc.. but nothing works, the other areas grow but when you click on them it says there are no commuters?

    HELP!
