Lost a city of 10 million today... tried everything to recover it

    I usually save the Focus Home Interactive/Cities XL 2012/live/offline/solo/solosaveregionmap*/ folder just for such an occassion, but I didn't just once... the game crashed as it was saving. I started up the game again selected my city and it immediately crashed to desktop.. I thought using System Restore would help but it didn't .... Always save that folder just for emergencies people... its located in c:\my documents and settings\(whatever your computer names is)\local settings\application data\Focus Home Interactive\live\offline\solo\ when you get to that folder you'll have to pick out which map folder is the one you want... Saving this area has saved my city time and again...

    Update... found an older folder my where I keep "saved cities backup" copied it to the foldler that was corrupted... and wallah I got my city back... ..
