Hi, I have been trying to access the STEX using my Powerbook g4 (OS 10.4.11) with Firefox 3.6. Everytime the screen comes up, it refreshes to a blank white page that keeps on trying to download (but to no avail). Are other MAC users eperiencing the same problem? Thanks, Wayne

Firefox 3.6 is the last version that runs on PowerPC Macs... Why not use Safari or another browser? I think this should be posted in the "Simtropolis Related" category, but could you let us know of the computer specs?

Yes, that's right, I didn't catch the PPC.

What about using TenFourFox? http://www.floodgap....are/tenfourfox/

It's a fork of Firefox for PowerPC which is equivalent to Firefox 10.

And Safari should work fine, too.

I made this!bzt.gif

Thank You for all the tips! I am going to download tenfourfox and give it a shot. I absolutely loathe Safari. I am running a Titanium Powerbook g4 (1 gig with Airport card) from Nov 2002. I've had this laptop for about 9.5 years and it still works great for what I need. Some drawbacks areI can't play hd videos and am stuck with USB 1.0. I am planning on upgrading to a newer Mac laptop maybe next year. I just want to get ten years of service out of mine before I place it in reserve. The only problems have been the discontinuation of software support from Adobe, mozilla, and all the way through Apple. thanks, Wayne

Good luck with what you're doing! I an old Power Mac G4 for many years and it gave me good service, such a shame that newer apps have to discontinue support for older computers... I might consider buying another TiBook (I have one with a broken hinge!) to run older software etc.
