Help with getting nightlights to work with BATs from STEX

I need getting nightlights to work with the BATs from STEX.

Due to a couple of reasons, the method of where I use the official update isn't of any use for me. (I'm also trying to prep these files to be used on a Mac, which can't receive that update)

So I am attempting to do Goaskin's method of changing the group/instance IDs. But I have a really hard time understanding the instructions, especially from someone who doesn't make his own mods and is not use to the program iLive Reader. (There was also a lot of awkward wording)

So if anyone knows where more user friendly instructions are, that would be greatly appreciated.

Basically here's where I am. I open up the SC4 model file in iLive and can see all of the FSH files. Now, from what I've read, it seems as though I am supposed to change their group IDs to 1APE787D. But, how exactly do I do this in the program?

And something tells me I will eventually also need help setting the instance IDs because I 1) do not know how to find a free range and 2) don't know how to edit the instance IDs.
