    I'm gonna follow the Twitter rule: attempt to be short and sweet and to the point.

    I am not affiliated with this website, I'm just a guy that learned 3ds max in about 2 months from this site, and knowing the community here, I believe yall would enjoy this in some manner or another, knowing that this site isn't bad. and that you can learn plenty through just the free tutorials alone.

    3dbuzz.com - they teach:

    -3ds Max << I completed Intro/talented ball (i rate 4.5 stars)

    -Maya << I've only completed half the intro. not as good as 3ds, but still thorough

    -Houdini <<didn't do

    -C++ / .NET / XNA <<didn't do

    -Unreal <<didn't do

    -Unity <<didn't do

    -iPhone Dev(elopment?) <<didn't do

    The basic structure of the site is to teach you how to create a scene and to teach you the tools used to accomplish such tasks, and it's done in a real practical way that doesn't stink. they're very complete classes. they get boring at times, but they usually counter it with humour of some sort.

    each tutorial is split up into like 30 videos, some 7 minutes long, some are upwards of an hour. very thorough.

    for 3dsmax it is:

    intro (free)

    talented ball (create free account)

    airplane/water/fire tutorials (costs money)

    dragon/character sculpting (costs money)

    another aspect, and question would be money. essentially you get the introduction for free, then the first tutorial you have to sign up and create an account, without paying. then to do the advanced tutorials, you pay like $35 a month subscription.

    I personally haven't paid for any classes, but I still have learned a butt ton of practical information about 3ds, and no i'm working on learning Maya.

    I hate spam too and hope this wasn't spam, my intentions were solely to give anyone another route to learn animation. If yall feel this is spam, I apologize for inconveniencing you.
