how to change building's maintenance costs per month

everything is in the title ! how am I supposed to do that (maintenance costs per months are unfair to me, don't blame me) ?

OK, so what is the building you are trying to change?

actually, i want to change polices, firemen, schools, waters, powers, garbages, transports, etc.. all these domains that need maintenance

UPDATE: I guess I found how : open simcity_1.dat > exemplar in analyser menu > searching by properties "Budget Item : cost" and change the values

But how the hell can I apply the changes (changes shift each time I close the program)

You have to click the save button when you are done. Its location varies on what OS you are on.

after I save, I can no longer play the game (it return to the desktop after the EA logo)

You might have did something wrong. Did you destroy the things you plopped before you edited the file? This may cause the crashing. Also, is your game updated?

the game is not updated ! and plopped what (are you talking about the 3 cities on Maxisland I have ? no I didn't !) ?

have deleted the cities and updated the game, and still not working, still returning to the desktop after the EA logo !
