How do I reload a bad tile?

In City view, when I delete a tile, then return to region view, I am left with a blank featureless green tile. In region view, I then go to import city and there are like 80 cities all called New City, and its not easy finding the right file to import. What am I doing wrong that causes this blank green tile? and how do I quickly find the correct file to import?

Sorry for asking this $%&^! question. You must have read it a million times. But I keep repeating this problem and the only solution I have found is to uninstall/reinstall, which is a royal pain.

    Thanks,

    Casimir

It is a bit of a conundrum. You need to determine which city you need. One trick would be to open the region you have in your downloads folder (you'll have to move it to Regions) and name the one you want. Put it back in downloads. You will then find it by name.

Next time you get disgusted with a city, use the Obliterate city function. This preserves the terraforming.

    Moose,

I realized you said downloads but really meant documents.

    Thanks for the quick fix.

I actually mean Documents\SimCity 4\Downloads. This is where the insert city logic expect the data to be.
