If your Terraformer doesn't open or just doesn't work, you can use greyscale maps on the STEX. Filter the files so the most recent are last and the oldest show up first. There, you will find maps that are compatible without SC4Terraformer. Here is a tutorial.

If you are having trouble with the Terraformer, it could be that you don't have the necessary Python Run-Time Library. If you are getting errors that mention things like .py and .pyo this is the problem. Go on the Internet and download this library. It is free.
