Cities XL 2012 Help

Hey I need help with my city the population is 569,984. How can i make it grow fastest without going in debt, also I my retail is declining majorly. Every time I add retail somewhere is stays the same. If anyone can help me I really would appreciate that thanks.

Well I played CitiesXL 2011 and I kinda liked it (prefer SimCity 4 Deluxe) but when I installed 2012 either game won't run (it crashes to Desktop). Now I'm furious because I'm back to Square One again

Look at the satisfaction layer for shops, that should show you in green where it's good and in red/no color where its bad. Add more retail to those areas. Second, look at what the retailers are saying, usually there's an icon over them, might say they need more workers or something. Another common problem is just too much retail, can't do anything about that aside from cut back on it.

As far as growing, my biggest city is 60,000 and lags like crazy. I can't imagine the lag at 500k. I would think if you've got a city that big you know what you are doing and just have to micro manage to keep things going.
