Merging SC4Mapper files

Hey guys, I was wondering if it was possible to merge SC4 Mapper files to form one map. The regions in particular are the various NHP maps of the Northern Channel Islands as, I was hoping to have the northern chain as one region, extending from San Miguel to Anacapa, for a new region. Would there be a way I could merge the regions in SC4 Terraformer, or a get a new region to be made in some way?

This could be possible I think, by merging the 16-bit PNG files of these regions.

Assuming your regions are overlapping each others, without any holes, you have to use Photoshop (which can handle with 16-bit images) and merge the pictures in one big new map. Then, you have to create an appropriate config.bmp file (large enough to handle your new monster region). With these two files (PNG map file and config), open SC4 Mapper or Terraformer and import the 16-bit PNG file.

The main difficulty would be to correctly merge your initial maps into a new one...
