Trouble with new regions

    Hi all.

I'm having some trouble creating new regions and opening them ingame. When I create a new region in game, that region doesn't show up in my 'Region' map C:/Simcity4/Regions. The other way around doesn't work either. When I make a new region map in that directory the region doesn't show up in game.

I know the basics of making a new .bmp config file but with the problem mentioned above that doesn't help me since I can't load new regions in the game. Anyone got an answer to this?

Strange, there are no regions at all in my Simcity4 map in my documents.

What is the complete pathname of your game in the documents folder please?

If you got this game from Steam or one of the other downloaders, the names may have been changed because of vendor ego problems that you will have to live with. Also, some versions of Windows stash 32-bit games in their own nomenclature, and you may have to accommodate that.

Some vendors just want to monkey with the standard known paths, and this makes it difficult for everyone. You only get the standard names if you load from disk, generally speaking. They are: C:\<documents>\SimCity 4\ and C:\<documents>\SimCity 4 Deluxe\ depending on which package you have.

    Thanks for the help.

I found the regions. They weren't stacked in my own document files, but in the public document files! Weird because I never use a public account and I'm the only user on this pc, but hey, I found them!
