    I need a Bunch of tips if some veterans would help a New guy out

    how do you get trees in properties like residential houses? do they grow randomly or do i have to plant them in yards?

    do i need a mod to do transportation systems northwest-southest or northeast-southwest? i tried setting up a road system with north-south type stuff mixed with northwest-southeast type. it didn't look very visually pleasing. and it didn't seem to strap together simply.

    any tips about public buildings and infistructure? at what point in my city should i build them and how to fund them?

    how strictly should i cover things with police and fire coverage? is tiny areas of hit and miss acceptible? medium areas?

    the low down on freight train stations, when do i need them? what do they exactly do?

    suggestions and explanations of road system mods would be helpful too.

    any basic tips about how to build cities halfways properly would be appreciated

    if anyone could help me out it'd be great. thanks.

    The lot has a tree as a prop or a flora item. You can add Mayor-Mode-Ploppable trees if you want to.

    As for mods, you should use the Network Addon Mod. No link needed just do a search on google. And do you mean grid? There is no mod needed to lay roads down in a square style.

    The tips in the game packet say to plop them down when they are needed. Like when your advisers start complaining about crime or if a fire starts.

    You should check the coverage in your data views to make sure you have everything covered. You don't want fires! :)

    Freight train stations are used to export industrial products. Put them near industry zones.

    The lot has a tree as a prop or a flora item. You can add Mayor-Mode-Ploppable trees if you want to.

    You can also use the Lot Editor to add them in. This is the way to go if you want the trees to appear on all the lots.

    While everything should be covered, it is not necessary. Some things should also have more coverage than others, like Industrial areas. The buildings have a higher chance of catching on fire and the fires spread more quickly.

    Freight train stations are used to export industrial products. Put them near industry zones.

    Then you have to make a neighbor connection so the goods can be transported out of the city, otherwise the stations will be useless.
