Located near to state of São Paulo, the richest in country, and in a important agricultural region. Originally planned to 89.000 population, city suffered a boom since the end of second world war.

Londrina is a new city, started in 1930 even british farmers abandoned south africa cotton camps because a civic war. In these yars, north of Parana are only forest.

Atracted by fertile land, called "Terra Rossa" by italians, Englands starts to plant coffe, even country was the largest coffe producer.

The idea of a city was to stimulate the sales. "Buy a farm, and win a House in the little town." The name Londrina means "Little London", because when british came, a big Fog, normally happens in winter, made the city look like London. Well, the 'iron horse' made the city grows fast. Impressive. The history is very interesting, and the city is beautiful.

Beautiful!

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Moving to Architecture and Urban Planning, please stand by. You may experience a slight jolt as we make the jump.

Jump made, have a nice day!

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.
