Same problem. It takes like FOREVER to download anything. Usually takes around 40 page reloads before any downloads begin. it;s Google Chrome

People seem to have a lot of trouble with Chrome. Use Firefox and see if you still have this problem.

I ran into this problem on Aurora 9, however, it only occurs for me when I load a STEX page and then try to download from it a few hours later.

ST should be used on Firefox or IE as there are no problems with either of these.

If the page has been doggo for a few hours you should refresh it before trying anything else.

IE 7 i didnt download anythng in session...now if i download it says my IP adress is SPAMMER, i dont know now what happened.

Sounds like you need to go off the net and do a deep virus scan.

open a console and type in:

traceroute www.simtropolis.com

and press enter. You should see your address and everyone between.

You will find out the name of your computer on the net among other things. If you have been scragged by something intractable, you may have to reinstall your operating system.

I have the same problem, right now using Firefox Beta v10... might try on IE.

Try it without your WiFi. It is possible that your wireless set up needs an overhaul.

Tried it with my mobile internet (not Wifi - I connect with internet via USB teething) and still not working. am mad now. ._.

Your SQL database needs fixing and cleaning up, asap. The queries time out and when that happens the site just tells users "internal server error, please contact administrator".

This is not a connection issue. It's a site specific problem. Do not try to blame the users for the site problems.

That is not always the case, some browsers have issues when loading the site over others.

There are several problems. If you would care to survey all the threads having to do with failures of the site, you will find that users on wireless services have been having some specific trouble that are not data base related. I have been doing QA on systems since sometime in the early 1970s, and noticed this symptom. I am trying to find out just how much it is happening and if it can be addressed on our end.

Errors in the data base are pretty much cleaned up. We now have some queuing problems caused by heavy load periods, but these have more to do with the server software than the data base. I have not seen the "internal server error" in quite some time now.

Like I said earlier, wireless (WiFi). you told me to replace to cable.. must wait for months to change.

About the only thing I can suggest is get closer to the server. You may be having signal attenuation or bit drop-outs in your packets. Is the main hook-up on a broadband line?

And my room is far from the main connection (but in the same house).
