Columbus vs Olympic Terrain Mod

So I have a question. I absolutely adore cycledogg's Olympic Terrain mod, but I had the Columbus installed before. I placed a bunch of trees using the Columbus when I was creating my region, and when I installed the Olympic (and moved the Columbus out of my plugins folder), the trees disappeared, making it impossible to place anything over their former position without a CTD.

Any ideas on how to fix it without destroying all the trees I planted with the Columbus?

I'm still relatively new to compatibility fixes, so I'm sure someone wiser will shoot me in the right direction.

If I remember correctly (from something I've read in the forums not long ago), you have to re-install the Columbus terrain again as those trees probably belong to the tree-controller that comes with the mod.. Remove the trees before you switch back to Olympic again

Well this blows. The trees are all over my region, even intertwined with my cities. Is there a way to keep both? I actually enjoy having both of them together... Makes a nice variety.

No, not that I know of.. That will only make your game crash. Guess you have to start a new region (or at least a city) If you want to use the Olympic terrain.

EDIT: ...but you can change both the rock-textures and beach-textures that comes with a specific terrain mod. Reference the Read-Me for details

No, I need the grassy terrain. It's alright though. The trees from both mod show up with the Columbus installed. The variety is nice, but It's not quite what I'm looking for. I'll live though. It's not bad.

On a side note, know any good MMP terrain texture paints?
