I get bored of things rather quickly, and I quickly got bored of the default water color when I reinstalled the game about a year ago, but, as I'm a creature of habit, I got quickly bored of my water mod (auckland water textures) that I replaced it with. This would be all fine and dandy if I hadn't discovered that my .dat file for the mod had disappeared when I went to replace it with a new one. The really strange thing about this is that the water mod is still in the game, as if the .dat is still there, where I left it-I have recently used .datpacker, but I checked the folder of my plugins from shortly before I packed them (far after when I put the mod in place), but no luck-not a file for the mod in sight!

Are you sure it was present when you ran DatPacker? Could you have put it in the program files structure instead (definitely not recommended)? Can you remake your non-datpacked plugins folder and see if it is there then?

I must've searched it for half an hour last night, right and left, I even used the searchbox in the start menu to search for "auckland.dat", and still, no luck!

Did you do a "caseless" search? There might be a majescule letter in there somewhere. If all else fails, open a console and do a tree command on your plugins to a file and do a visual search. I don't know how you file your plugins, but mine are mostly by author.
