iPod Nano problem

    So I've got an iPod Nano 5th Gen (the one with the video camera), and I've had it since December 09. It starts pausing itself randomly, and it's a pain to get unpaused (word?). For example, the other day I was able to get through a 6 minute song without any problem, and was barely able to get through the first verse of a 4 minute song right afterword.

    Any suggestions? I really don't wanna spend the money on a new iPod, because I don't want a Touch (already got an Android phone), a Classic, or a Shuffle, and I hate the new Nanos.
