Hey whats up Simtropolis. New here to the community, and new to the whole "city simulation" game genre, but man am I loving it so far!!

Ive been reading and checking out journal entries for the past week or so and finally decided to start an entirely NEW city just for my new

    journal!

Im from Cincinnati,Ohio and our city is sometimes called by its nickname "Sin City", so thats why Ive decided to go with that title of my new city journal~!

Like I said Im NEW to the whole community and city building so please when you comment, be polite but provide some constructive criticism as well!!

I can take it so by ALL MEANS speak whats on your mind and let me know what I can do to improve my city and journal!!

    So lets get to it!::

Ill be putting a few hours of work into Sin City again tonight when the Girlfriend is at college.

Hope to hear some good advice, tips, and criticism from you guys here at ST!!

    UPDATE#1 9/14/2011

Summary: I have only finished a few lots, and have done some fill in, as well as fixed a brown box issue which was keeping me from posting my night time shots!!::

    Enjoy!!

    Comments:

ELEMENT: Thanks for the tips youve helped greatly!

NathanTheMayor: The slope mod and tree mod has helped me signifigantly, thanks a bunch bro!!

    New Images:

    Image#1: Downtown Area:

As you can see compared to the previous Downtown pictures, the US Bank One Capitol Building is now completed

as well as the Commerce Office Buildings Placed on the Left AND right of the new Bank One Towering Bulilding!

    Image #2: Crestview Hills:

Thanks to previous comments, Ive done a LOT of remodeling/construction to this area of Sin City.

Ive added a local Grocery Store: Kroger: As well as some surrounding "fast food" building for convenience to

the locals of Sin City. Also Ive reconstructed the condos, and apartment building around the surrounding area

    which consist of Crestview Hills.

Image #3: Western Hills Highway 275 East

This area here is where the local sporting events of Sin City are held:

It also contains several towering hotels near the football/baseball stadium located just

south of the Downtown District In Image 1!

This is it for todays SHORT update. I am currently in the process of putting together a NEW railroad transportation system,

as well as some new avenue boulevards which will be added into Sin City in the Next Update. Also look for the new "local dump"

which will be called "Mt Rumpke Garbage Dump"!

Thanks for everyones help in getting my CJ started! I know that im still a LONG WAY from a GOOD CJ/City but Im still learning more

and more EVERYDAY I PLAY!! So PLEASE do as before and hit me up with ALL criticism, comments, suggestions, tips, and hints to

help me better my CJ and my overall city!! THANKS ST!!

Interesting pictures. I'm liking the downtown part but your city journal could definitely use some more custom content and especially some mods and eye candy. A terrain and tree mod will definitely work nicely to make your "empty" areas look amazing as well! 4.gif

Keep it up and I hope to see more! 9.gif

One thing I do suggest is that you use a slope mod, as some of those bridges look a little steep. Can't wait to see those empty lots get developed.....
