Massive problem with downloading AutoCAD 2012

My school has AutoCad 2012 and the instructor provided me a URL to setting up a student account so I don't need to buy the software for my computer.

And I ran into this problem: http://imageshack.us/f/820/unledbbg.jpg/

That's just a small sample of the problem, there's a lot more failed downloads. I used Aurora 8.0a2 and IE9, neither of them worked.

The file is 1.2 GB in size.

Every time I download it, it would always be below 1 GB, sometimes even 0 bytes! When I try and install the incomplete file, an error message would pop up and state that there are missing files. I managed to get it to download fully once and installed it, but lost the install and downloaded file in a System Restore due to an unrelated issue.

I already restarted the computer twice, no affect.

Specs:

Network: 5 megabits max, broadband, ethernet to router then to modem

Computer: Asus n61jq

OS: Window 7 64-bit SP1 Home Premium

CPU: i7 720qm

RAM: 8GB (2GB set aside for RAMDisk)

Harddrive space: 20 GB in the partition that I'm installing AutoCAD in

If you're instructor provided you with all this information maybe you should ask him. He probably knows exactly what's wrong with it and how to fix it quickly unlike us here at Simtropolis who can just give our best guesses.

Yes, and my best guess is that you should use a bit torrent. If you don't know how to do that, as your teacher.

To my knowledge, the student version of AutoCAD isn't licensed for BitTorrent download, so acquiring it through such a means would be a license violation.

Too bad. His bandwidth problem will probably have to be solved by the school's IT group who may be able to let him have a copy on CD.
