Seeing Doubles & Triples

Hey again,

now this is probably one of the weirdest bugs in simcity thats happened to me. I'm seeing doubles and triples of nearly everything in the transportation menu. I'm unable to get a photo of this. These doubles and triples include:

1: RHW and the default Maxis Highways

2: Almost all roads doubled (addons excluding defaults)

3: Mass Transit Doubled and Tripled

If anyone has had this problem before and figured out how to fix, or anyone else who has these addons, but never had this problem, let me know.

Sounds like you have somehow managed to include multiple copies of some plugins (RHW?) in your Plugins folder. Did you somehow put them in both Plugins folders? You should not put anything in the Plugins folder in the Program Files residency, as that is really a system folder and is kind of mustn't touch unless instructed.

Best thing you could do to check is to use the console tree command to list your Plugins folder, print it, and check it manually.

Well, now I can see only one of everything, but before this, I had an HSR (High Speed Rail) addon in the game as well as a Single Track addon, but now there gone. I have no idea what happened.

One thing about plugins is that each and every new one needs to be tested with your existing plugin suite in a sandbox city before considering it truly installed. Never toss in a bunch all at once.

I've been having the same problem with the Subway menu icon (about five or so of those, I think!) ever since I installed the NAM (I'm on a Mac, and that was my only plugin for a while). I can't access the plugin manager directly, but I could always copy my NAM folder onto my PC copy (I only use it currently for creating plugins).

Up to you. But test each one as you add it. One per test.

The thing about plugins is when you have a large suite you may have picked a set that doesn't dance together. It is impossible because of the number of them, for them to be tested by us. This is why we always recommend using a sandbox region where you can make test cities. Every new plugin should be placed individually in your current set, then tested vigorously before you consider it OK. Taking a shot gun approach to loading up plugins is often fatal.
