Make sure the ground you are trying to build on is fairly level. You will not be able to build if it is very uneven.

yes ground is level. But now I found that I must install first Dependencies and after it I must install RHW. I trying uninstall RHW and NAM and I will try it again in sequence because I don't know if I installed it in sequence previously.

Are you saying that the RHW starter piece is working? After you place it, are you using the RHW tool (first one in the highway menu) to drag the RHW from the starter piece? You do not use the Maxis highway tool.

    Select Starter Piece:

    Place it:

    Select RHW Tool:

    Drag RHW from Starter Piece:

Okay, that's good. What version of NAM are you using? Did you get it from the STEX recently? There are two versions. One uses a program to install the files (automatic). The other is a manual version (not automatic). Also, did you unzip the download before putting it into the Plugins folder?

...I Don't unzip before putting it into the plugins, I install it straight from zip archive...

So you ran the installer that showed this window?

    NAMInstall.jpg

If yes, do you have any other plugins in your Plugins folder? If you do, you might remove all plugins except NAM and see if it works by itself. There are a few things that can interfere with NAM.

To make it easy, you can rename the Plugins folder (something like Plugins1) and make a new one named Plugins. Then install only NAM in the new one. After you check the game in a new city, you can remove the new folder and change the name of the old back to Plugins.

NAM is the only mod of its kind, and most of the other additional transportation mods require it. I want to ask what do you mean by "new AVE"? Does your game have regular avenues without any plugins?

Also, do you know how to check your game version? You can go to the C:\Program Files\Maxis\SimCity 4 Deluxe\Apps on your computer and find the SimCity 4.exe file. If you check the properties of that file, you should see a version number of 1.1.638.0 or something similar.

Yeah. That could be the root of your problems. You need to upgrade your game to ver. 1.1.640.0 .

This post gives you bldgprop_vol1.dat (SimCity 4 Building as Props ) and bldgprop_vol2.dat (Rush Hour Building as Props ) you need to get there :thumb:

Alternatively, you can get them here

Actually, you need the EP1 update. The Official Simcity site is down, but it can also be downloaded here.

After that, you will need the nightlighting update which is also available from that link.

Yes, off course you are right Jacksunny! Seems I'm a little confused lately :(

@ Zubzub: bldgprop_vol1.dat (SimCity 4 Building as Props) and bldgprop_vol2.dat (Rush Hour Building as Props) are however dependecies for most things custom content, so if you don't have them go fetch

Version 1.1.610.0 means you do have SimCity 4 Deluxe, and you should be able to place NAM pieces. When you say "It doesn't work," what exactly is the problem. When you select a NAM piece, does the cursor arrow appear red or green? If it is green, what is it that you can't do? It is important that you test this with no plugins except a new NAM installation. Sorry to repeat myself, but it still isn't clear what you are having trouble with.

Yes. Sku2 is the Europe compatiable version of the EP1-update :)

If it still doesn't work, could you post a picture of your My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod folder and the My Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins\Network Addon Mod]Plugins folder. It might help to see what's wrong.
