I've downloaded files to my SimCity section but I don't know what to do next. I've copied them into my plugins folder but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to Simtropolis...

I've downloaded files to my SimCity section but I don't know what to do next. I've copied them into my plugins folder but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

That would depend on what type of download you have. If it's a ploppable, it will appear in one of the menus, depending on the type of lot. If it's a growable, it will grow in the game when conditions are right for it. What are you trying to use? Knowing that will help give a more precise answer.

Also, you did unzip the download before placing it in the Plugins?

No, I did not unzip the files. I don't know how to do that. The downloads are the PEG MTP packages. ALL of them.

Well, there are a few ways of doing it. You can right-click on the zip folder and select "Extract All..." and select a location (use Browse) to place the files, or you can open the zip folder itself and drag the contents to another location. You can also use a zip program (WinZip, WinRar, 7-Zip, etc.), but that really isn't necessary. The idea is to get the items in the zip folder into a standard folder that is then placed in the Plugins folder. You can find more information on installing Plugins in this post.

As for the Peg-MTP items, they could be in any of the various menus, depending on the lots that you have. Most, I would imagine, will be in the Parks menu, but check them all.

Glad you got it working... I don't know if this is your first attempt at using downloaded content, but there are a few important and helpful suggestions in the post that I linked to above - especially note the game patches. You might want to check through it. Just a thought...
