    Hi all,

So I downloaded a bunch of dutch-style buildings wanting to build my own simNetherlands, and since I had so much I got the no maxis building mod for all residential and commercial. At the beginning, nothing will grow, even though I have some low-wealth and low-density buildings in the plugins. After taking out the no-maxis mod, things start to grow, but only a few of my plugins buildings. When I put that mod back in, it seems like nothing grows at all.

Is this a known issue? Am I missing something? Should I just keep going with the city and hope I can put the no-maxis mod back in later and my plugins will grow?

    Thanks for any help!

PS. I have the CAM installed for Residential and commercial, could that be a problem?

Well, IIRC, you should get buildings for all the stages when you use the No-Maxis Mod, because there will be, well, no Maxis Building (quite redundant) to help your city.

What I think you should do is to play with Maxis buildings until you start to see those building you want to have, then, save, exit, place the No-Maxis Mod and re-enter, from now and on you should only get the dutch buildings, because you already reached it's building stage.

Mithrik, Mithril with a k instead of a l, how original, huh?

The other choice is to use the plop everything command. For this, I think you need the extra cheats dll from the pinned thread above. This has overtones to too much work.

How were you planning to do the polders? Are you going to model the big gates at Rotterdam, and the other mega-control structures on the North Sea? The new floating buildings?

This whole thing could make a really nice CJ.

Hey, thanks for the replies. I downloaded version 2 of the mod and blocked all but low density R$ and CS$, it seems to be working.

@NonnyMoose: I would love to do a Dutch CJ, but I don't really know how to do all the fancy stuff. I have the oppie canal mod, maybe that in tandem with a wall and a hole-digging mod for the polders? I don't have any batting skills myself.

But be on the look out, it might be coming...(!)

Hey man, everything you need is here. Plan. And take your time to pick up the skills you need. It will be kind of tricky because if you dig below sea level in the regular game the hole floods.
