Ok, as promised the 'Hotel District' of my city, along with some other creations.

The Yacht port area, all the boats in the whole bay come here to dock.

    hoteldestrict12dec00131.png

The new downtown, as it is on the other side of the main downtown, it has a lot of HQ's for hotels and other big businesses.

    portphillipbay3mar04131.png

And a small peninsular, very big on hotels and luxury apartments as you can view the whole bay and city from there.

I haven't shown any night time pictures yet, so, no more waiting!

And now to look at the less fortunate sims, they have a hard time finding their own home so the Government has built public housing for two types of sims.

the Sims that are facing some sort or law sentence on they can't support their families at all.

    portphillipbay8may03131.png

And then the sims that are poor but can look after their faimlies and also home to some people seeking a better life here in Marvarta. We welcome these people, which may explain the rapid population growth.

I like what i see :) But I think there's an issue with the yacht area, where the boardwalk has the brick foundation at the bottom

Very nice! I laughed at where you decided to put your city (at the mid-coast of Queensland), because this area is where it constantly hit by cyclones. Only urbanised area in Queensland is located at Southeast Queensland, where around 80% of Queenslanders live in that area (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich & Toowoomba). But other than that, I really love your city. Keep going! I can't wait until when you build an airport. ;D

Wheelbarrow95: yeah i know Queens Land isn't the most ideal place to have a metropolis, but i thought why not? 9.gif I already have an airport, if you look closely at some regional updates on the 1st page.

Now today we will look closer at the lake side city of Marysville and also the small town of Buxton.

This is my first kind of update in 'first person' so comments and suggestions are welcome!

We just arrived in Marysville after a a few hours on the free way, and we are greeted with some of the best views. Our first stop was the 'Marina Bay' to get to out hired yacht and have a tour on the lake.

We get to the end of the dock and see our boat along with our trusted tour guide.

    marysville17jul42131045.png

He welcomes us on the boat and we start off.

    marysville26aug42131045.png

It was some of the most amazing views i had ever seen. Surrounded by water, with a nice breeze rustling on our shoulders. I don't think it could get much better than this.

We saw the Buxton river, we couldn't go up because we didn't have enough time, but we will get there soon.

We arrive back at Marina Bay and continue to look around the city.

After a short drive and a stop off at 7-11, we soon saw our next destination, the 360 Observation tower.

    marysville5may421310454.png

It had amazing views, we could see the whole city and even a few small towns buried by a thick forest.

We're at the 360 restaurant now, with it turning 360 degrees every 2 hours.

From the restaurant we saw the tallest building in Marysville, the locals say the glass shine likes a diamond, at first glance i thought it was one.

    marysville7may421310454.png

We saw some other notable buildings, such as this one, the newest addition the the growing skyline, the Blaze Tower, the HQ for the Blaze Franchise.

    marysville9may421310454.png

We also noticed some of the older buildings, which were then surrounded by newly built ones.

    marysville3may421310454.png

We now head back to the docks to go on a ferry ride to Buxton.

As the ferry was positioned in the middle of the lake, I saw even more of the surroundings that I didn't notice before.

    marysville11jul42131045.png

Then we went down the Buxton river.

    marysville12sep42131045.png

And soon we arrived at the Buxton Ferry Terminal.

    buxton15jun031310454308.png

The beaches were surrounded by rocks and trees, it was like the town wasn't even there.

The we had a small tour of the Town, starting with the old church, the oldest and most recognisable part of the town.

    buxton13jun031310454302.png

We had a small stop in a op shop and continued down the main road and we ended up at the Wind Farm.

    buxton21feb031310454047.png

Then we stopped off at an old friend's house, we had some tea and then left a short time later.

    buxton21feb031310454218.png

We fair-well the town for the last time and go back to the docks to get back on the ferry.

While we were on the ferry, i saw some deer, that was really nice.

I sat back on a deck chair and relaxed the for the whole trip back to Marysville.

    buxton21feb031310454204.png

We arrived back at Marysville and checked into our hotel.

    marysville29apr42131045.png

Tired, we got into bed and went to sleep.

We woke up to the sun rising over the lake, i ordered some breakfast and spent the rest of the day looking over the town from my hotel room.

I hope you enjoyed Marysville and Buxton!

I'm not sure if you already have this installed, but I think the SAM would add a lot of character to your city. Ya' know... just a suggestion. ;)

Heheh, Marysville and Buxton, I have no idea where you got those names from :ohyes:

Nice, I like the regional shots. You said that it's in Queensland, so a source of possible inspiration is 'The Real Mackay', by the late Adroman on SC4devotion. Give it a look, should give you ideas.
