I have a big city, which two river divided at that city(on the other hands, that city have three mainland)

I had connected the mainland with bridge.

I keep develop the city and soon I forgot the presence of garbage. After a few year,I found that the number of garbage in my city is more than 10000.So,I build some Waste to Energy Power Plant(PEG-UT Plasma Gasification Plant) and the number of garbage is droping now.

However, when it drop to about 500,it stop to decrease nor increase. So,I decided to build two Waste to Energy Power Plant at every mainland,However, the number of garbage didn't change. It still maintain around 500...

Do anyone know what actually happen??

NOTE:I have a neighbour city but no garbage deal....

Thanks for a look

Is that your total garbage or your capacity line? If you have a single landfill square zoned it might be showing as 500 capacity not 500 total garbage.

Some garbage you will always have, between collections. If you want it all to go, you'll have to cheat. Look on the STEX for the Black Hole garbage sink.

    Thanks for reply

@Ryan:I don't even a single single landfill zoned and my garbage capacity is 0

@Rury:So,you mean it will never drop to 0 again?

@A Nonny Moose:Beside using Black Hole Waste Management Corp,is there any other way?

I just posted that picture to see if that was the problem you were experiencing. Is your problem like the picture???

If it is like the picture, it may never drop to 0 again, as this is a bug. However I might have a possible solution but first I need to know if it is like the problem in the picture.

I think you lot are talking absolute rubbish to be honest :P

Sorry had to be done :D

Back on topic.... I'm having this issue myself in one of my cities, I import lots of rubbish into it yet no matter how many waste disposal buildings I have its stuck at 120, it never increases and it never decreases, although I'll be trying the blackhole waste disposal thing tomorrow to see if it fixes it :)

    Regards,

    Richard

Well that will surely work, but I doubt you'd go for that. Check your garbage under data views.

    If:

    A) No garbage shows up under data views then its a bug on the graph (no way to fix this other than deleting city like you said). If this is your case, then don't worry about what the graph shows, because in actuality there is no excess garbage in your city.

    B) If there is garbage somewhere in your city under data views, zone some landfill, and delete your other waste management facilities. Make sure the landfill has road access to your city and you should see it fill up quickly. This should remove excess garbage everywhere in the city (check under data views). Then rebuild your incinerators and recycling centers and you should see all that garbage empty besides a small amount in your landfill. Then bulldoze your road access to your landfill and after about 25 years the garbage should be completely gone.

Remember when checking under data views that green spots are waste management facilities and landfill, not garbage. Places that appear white, yellow, orange, or red are places in your city that have excess garbage pileup. Im pretty certain your problem is case A, so I wouldn't worry about it if nothing shows up in the data view as the 500 that shows on the graph is actually 0.

There exists a bug in the garbage graph, just as Rury suggests. Occasionally, when you get a large amount of trash in the city and then get rid of it your graph will be stuck at something other than zero (Despite the fact the garbage view shows nothing). It's annoying, but harmless. I run into it all the time, myself.
